Dr. Ann Barter - Chiropractic Herstory Podcast Ep 070

Dr. Ann-Marie Barter is a chiropractor who serves Niwot, Longmont, Boulder, Lyons, Louisville, Lafayette, and the surrounding communities in the Denver Metro Area.

Dr. Barter graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, an accredited 4 year Doctoral program that is considered a leader in evidence-based medicine, and the first Chiropractic school to be awarded a federal research grant.

Dr. Barter underwent rigorous clinical training with some of the finest chiropractors. Dr. Barter has also undergone advanced training in Applied Kinesiology, completing over 400 extra classroom hours and is certified to practice Applied Kinesiology. She has also studied Functional Blood Chemistry under Dr. Kharrazian.

Her goal is to ensure safety and provide chiropractic care as a preventative measure for health and wellness.

Dr. Brandy Zachary, DC, AFMCP discovered the power of Functional Medicine first hand when a “mystery illness” left her declared permanently disabled and stuck in the hospital every 3 weeks costing $720k each year. Unwilling to accept that diagnosis, she fought back to regain her health and then launched Body Love Cafe, an award-winning holistic health clinic with multiple practitioners serving a worldwide audience. 

Dr. Zachary combines all of her previous work experience (author, business consultant, speaker, researcher) to train other practitioners in clinical competence and rapid practice growth. She is the lead instructor for the Functional Medicine Academy™ and has completed extensive post-graduate coursework. She has worked with thousands of health entrepreneurs on their branding, marketing, sales, speaking, and practice strategy.

In 2016 Dr. Zachary designed a tool that helps doctors quickly analyze blood labs and in 2020 expanded that to a web-based software app to include hormone and gut health testing. That same year she also identified and created the nomenclature for a newly recognized metabolic condition which led to the MISSED patient protocol system. Dr. Zachary is currently working on a second book and lives with her husband and daughter in Walnut Creek, CA.
