Programme notes
Commissioned by the Hong Kong Composers’ Guild, the piece is featured in the “SOUND-IMAGination – Hong Kong One Moment” multimedia concert, in which a chosen image of Hong Kong is projected while the music is being performed.

The music tries to capture the stress in the city as portrayed in the photo: huge burden lays on us and it seems we have no hope to escape from it. It is characterised by rapid runnings from the lowest register up to the highest superimposed with cries in form of multiphonics, cluster etc. which leads to a violent climax.
