Wonky is so curly it is straight, so wrong it is right ... so bad it is good. 

Tonk is a twang found in voices and instruments or the sound your head makes after a night of bourbon, tunes and hootenanny. 

And Wonky Tonk is a Kentucky girl with a closet full of boots, a heart full of wander and a soul full of songs.

Often compared to Jenny Lewis or Iris Dement, Wonky Tonk has played tunes alongside names like Jessica Lee Mayfield, Langhorne Slim, Joe Fletcher, Paleface, Guy Clark, Elizabeth Clark, Trampled By Turtles, Sunset Rubdown, Southern Culture on the Skids and the David Lee Mayfield Parade in towns all around the good ole US of A. 

She plays alone for convenience but often has a swell of sound when friends agree to join the jamboree. What began 5 years ago as "sweetly naive folk music (CityBeat)," has grown into a repertoire of skeletons and ghosts... because even Wendy had to grow up.
