Equal Play is a radio show which highlights the women of country music; past, present, and everything in between. While the mainstream country radio format often fails to uplift these voices, creator Gideon Dean uses historical segments, interviews, and artist profiles to shed light on the talented women of country.

Over the past three years, the show has welcomed over a dozen major-label artists as guests including Hannah Ellis, Lori McKenna, Hailey Whitters, Kassi Ashton, Annie Bosko, Brittney Spencer, and more. In addition to growing into one of the most popular shows on WONY 90.9FM, the program received the ISBC Award for Best Specialty Show in 2023.
