The Greyboy Allstars was a band I saw live in Portland in 2004/2005 - I'll never forget it, my Pops and my Uncle went to see em, followed along - as you do. I'll never forget the lead singer stopping the guitarist for a solo way too long. But man the vibe and the music was just too good. Certified soul starter kind of night. Blessed to have seen em - picked up a CD on the way out of their album "What happened to the TV?".

Needless to say, rest is history - been listening to them ever since, given the reception to the Deadline Records edit, thought I'd put this out for you!

Now...what can I say about Emma Warren's "Wants U Back" - ok it isnt the most thrilling story how I came across the track, frankly speaking its almost downright criminal how it been 19 years of listening to this tune - after finding it on FIFA 2005. God bless EA sports?

Having spent the last 6 years, or god knows how long since I started making beats trying to craft a decent bootleg of it - I'm finally happy with this result! And tried to stay as true to the original as possible - given this version's a more dance orientated cut. Nothing will ever beat that original though! 5 aside footy memories from school days yo!
