Formed in 2012, Wooddrops are a band from Trieste, Italy.

Wooddrops mix roots reggae, dub, rock, hip hop and eletronic music. Gathering further cultures,perceptions and various languages like english and wolof (Senegal), they endorse a stateless sound, which is able to overcome borders and language barriers. 

The band performed at Overjam reggae festival 2013 (Tolmin, SLO) and its previous edition.

They spent their first year and a half in perfecting their sound, but now the band are proud to announce the coming-out of their first work on September 2014, a seven tracks EP (five brand new tracks and two dub versions) co-produced by Abbazabba, italian singer-songwriter and Mellow mood's sound engineer.

I Wooddrops sono un gruppo reggae italiano nato a Trieste nel 2012.

La loro musica è una combinazione di reggae, dub, rock, hip-hop ed elettronica. Dall'incontro di più culture, sensibilità e idiomi come l'inglese e il wolof (Senegal), fa proprio il concetto di suono apolide, strumento in grado di superare ogni barriera geografico/linguistica. Il tutto, ovviamente, sintetizzato con dinamico ritmo upbeat.

La band ha partecipato alle due passate edizioni dell' Overjam reggae festival (Tolmin, SLO).

Dopo un lungo periodo passato in studio, la band annuncia l' uscita del loro primo lavoro discografico, un EP omonimo di sette brani (cinque inediti e rispettive dub versions) co-prodotti da Abbazabba, cantautore italiano e sound engineer dei Mellow Mood.
