Another track inspired by my re-reading of "Foundation" by Isaac Asimov. 
Somewhere in the remote, dark periphery of the galaxy a second empire is emerging.
I revisited this track 13.01.24 and decided to remix and remaster, mainly to add more drama to the percussion and add more punch to the production.

Periphery (Remix and Remaster)

“If No One” is a Rock/Pop-Ballad. Gently played in the verses with piano and viola and in contrast a colossal chorus with gospel choir and a fulminant guitar solo at the end of the song.

Our first released song with English lyrics.
The song is an appeal for humanity and compassion in times that seem harder.

Moi je suis botaniste.
Pour mon plus grand bonheur,
au mois d'avril j'assiste
à l'éclosion des fleurs,
ce à quoi il existe
bien d'autres amateurs
et quelques hédonistes
à qui ça tient à cœur.
C'est au Jardin des Plantes
et au moment précis
que croisant un' passante
m'est arrivé ceci,
une rose pimpante
nous a dit : "Me voici !
Sentez, je suis fragrante !
Penchez-vous vers ici."
Et nous nous retrouvâmes
tous les deux étonnés
au-dessus de la fleur
en train de la humer,
narines qui se pâment,
le nez contre le nez,
séduits par son odeur,
quasiment enivrés.
Ses paupières mi-closes
m'ont donné le tournis.
Que voir là autre chose
que pétales vernis !
Ses lèvres étaient si roses,
je n'ai pu empêcher
que les miennes s'y posent
pour cueillir un baiser.
Il y en eut encore
que l'on n'a pas comptés.
Nous en fîmes éclore
toute une roseraie.
C'est qu'un parfum de rose,
ça peut ensorceler.
Subtile petit' cause
qui eut de grands effets.

The botanist and the passer-by

I'm a botanist.
To my great delight,
in April I witness
when the flowers bloom,
but there are
many other amateurs
and a few hedonists
to whom it is dear.
It's at the Jardin des Plantes
and at the precise moment
passing a passer-by
this happened to me,
a dazzling rose
said to us: “Here I am!
Smell, I'm fragrant!
Lean towards here.”
And we found ourselves
both astonished
above the flower
smelling it,
nostrils swooning,
nose to nose,
seduced by its scent,
almost intoxicated.
Her half-closed eyelids
made me dizzy.
What could I see there but
but varnished petals!
Her lips were so pink,
I couldn't stop
from touching them
for a kiss.
There were more
that we didn't count.
We made a whole rose garden
a whole rose garden.
It's just the scent of a rose,
can cast a spell.
A subtle little cause
that had great effects.
