The Danger Lives In Me

Never even crossed my mind 
How hard I’ve tried 
Not to end it up alone 

Blowing candles and faking smiles 
Just to keep them for a while,
But now is dark and I got scared 

Thought I knew me super-well,
but I look back and what the hell 
Was I doing to myself 

But I guess is life in its beautiful ways 
Trying to tell me not to fade away 
therefore are the rainy days 

And I guess is me trying to see the other way 
‘Cause what if I don’t ‘wanna’ be ok 
Life’s too down on summer days

And there’ll be no one else to blame
For all the trouble I’ve been trough
And only I won’t bear the feeling of another thing
To lose 
Guess is just fine, not being fine 
‘Cause everything here stays the same 

And the danger lives in me and I can’t feel
any other way

I’ve turned down everyone I cared
When I reached for you 
You were never there 
So I’ll lay down here on my selfish bed

Dressing up just to make you proud 
But you only see me when I’m going down 
I should be crying my eyes out 

But I remember when you pulled me close
Told me you would never go that far away 
Gave me everything you had 
Cheered me up when I got sad 
No one ever made me feel special like that.

Now you live there in your fancy town 
Made your daddy really proud 
Your wife and kids are nice, I see
But I don’t think you even ‘gonna’ remember me

i wrote it partly about my relationship with my brother who lives far away from me 

- You can hear a blowing sound at the end of the song wich is a look back on a line from the first  verse of the song - "blowing candles and faking smiles"
