Here is our late night show from The Hangtown Halloween festival...recorded on October 25th, 2014. Tons of new stuff and a few ones you might be familiar with.

My plug named York moves dope like a myth,
Every handshake costs a halo to lift.

Dreaming of a meal, turned me broke to colossal.
Momma crying loud, say the Lord still watch you,
But heaven got doors, and they locked too.
Momma told me not to come over there,
But I did, seen devils in the barber chair.
They was talkin’ ‘bout sins while they lined my fade,
Sayin’ “every prayer sound different when you paid.”
Cuban link swing like a priest with the chain,
I done baptized fiends in the puddles of rain.
Jadan York wore mink to the wake, no shame,
Said “we all gon’ die, might as well die stained.”
I seen grace in the grime, halos in the dirt,
Angels in Dior, demons in the church.
Momma said “boy, that cash gon’ hurt,”
But I felt peace when I touched that work.
Momma told me not to come over there,
Told me love don’t live where the smoke don’t clear.
She lit candles for my sins, flame short, air thin,
I was countin’ every dollar like a prayer within.
I seen brothers die, seen mothers age fast,
Every gun sound like the echo of the past.
Now I paint pain on the side of a mask,
Heaven in the chain, hell hidin’ in the clasp.
Momma said “repent,” I said “next time,”
Then I left that night with the light behind.
If she call now, tell her York got mine,
Ain’t no saints where the stars don’t shine.
