Switches In Long Output Sequences

The main purpose of this demo is to showcase the unique technique known as long-term dependency. While in standard recurrent networks we encounter the problem of the disappearing gradient, memory cells in the LSTM architecture allow us to overcome this pitfall. 

Each of these five short examples comes from a very long sequence (2000 steps) and points to the undeniable advantages of using time-series data. Long-term dependencies are often likened to stochastic self-similar techniques and are one of the hallmarks of autoregressive models.
