"Now is a time of change. From the evolution of my label Bassic Records into Stone Seed, right through to the intensities of global current affairs and so much in between. My 333 mix is a marker of this change, of growth, but also a reminder to make sure one takes the time to feel what it really means to be human.

Creating this journey has in itself, been such an incredible journey. Fulfilling the 333 mix for Flow Music allowed me to dig deep into my collection and present angles of my sound that more rarely see the sunlight, but resonate with me so deeply. The canvas of 3 hours and 35 minutes allowed me to express energies of euphoric electronica, through deep progressive techno, psychedelic prog-house and an extensive emotive spectrum of electronic music.

Flow Music has been showing immense support to the Australian and global music communities since early 2020, intertwining our island region with the rest of the world. I'm grateful for their work and to have been given the opportunity to showcase my craft with them.

He's founded his own club (Gerberei in Schwerin), helped run a record store (Easytraxx), produced and released on labels including Dystopian & Sind Musik, played in some of the most legendary techno clubs (Berghain, Tresor) and started his own vinyl-only label with Stefan Rein (Pure Traxx). Despite being from Italy’s sun-blessed southern coast, Distant Echoes developed his passion for the darker side of electronic music at a very early age. When he was only 14 years old, he already owned a turntable and a mixer. It was only a few years later that he had become a passionate record collector and a DJ who would organise his own local parties. Setting up his first own studio was just a matter of time.
After leaving his hometown his way led to Milan, later to Berlin which to him feels like a “musical home”, nevertheless he resettled in Italy.
Those who watched attentively might know the House and Techno tracks the skillful producer has released under various monikers. In the studio he is a real workaholic, untiringly working on the music he’s so passionate about: Techno filled with melancholic melodies, hypnotic patterns and strong grooves.

Jon Hester got his start in the midwest US, living in Chicago, Minneapolis, and connecting with Detroit. After years on the dance floor he took to the decks, going on to work in a record shop, host his own events, and hold residencies that developed his sound. Music production and a move to Berlin followed, but dancing and mixing are still the inspirations that drive him to create. His DJ sets are built on physical rhythms and adventurous programming, effortlessly combining diverse varieties of techno and house. With an engaging presence and a knack for telling a story, he builds a unique connection with each audience, and works any room until it sweats.
