Etching a musical partnership that draws from the combined roots of IDM, house and techno, 
Mind Against are the Italian native but Berlin based project of Alessandro and Federico Fognini.

The biggest cliché of a “sound that’s hard to pin down”, is realer than gravity when it comes to Mind Against. They coax on psychedelic hooks of the 1980s and dance floor anthems bound traditionally to european soil. This backdrop makes for releases and performances that do well against any canvas.

Ukrainian duo Woo York are behind the fifth Afterlife voyage, delivering a special and rare live recording that captures the energy of their acclaimed, hardware-heavy performances. They take you on a journey through the Woo York universe, where hypnotic synths, driving basslines, acid moments and ethereal melody transport you to another dimension. Not only this voyage, but their contributions to the two Realm Of Consciousness compilations and mesmerising live sets at Afterlife events, show how moving their sound can be. From cult local beginnings on the Berlin circuit, Rødhåd is now very much part of the global DJ highway. What initially turned heads was his ability to hold down long and hypnotic sets of loopy, moody house and techno all masterfully mixed in immersive ways. His productions, too, mixed sparse ambient designs with rolling techno grooves on labels like Dystopian and Token, and just this month he put out his debut album, Anxious. It’s a filmic meditation on beautifully bleak and eerie sounds and is another reason we love the man after he turned in a memorable closing set on our UFO stage at this year’s Dekmantel Festival. 

Over a ninety minute live mix recorded recently, he gets more energised with plenty of hurried techno and urgent synth lines all tightly weaving round each other. It’s a high pressure and enchantingly linear set that touches on Millsian space vibes, industrialism and unhinged apocalypse music in one smoothly mixed and sequenced session that will leave you out of breath.

Fideles follow up their 'Impressum' EP on Afterlife with a stunning contribution to the Voyage podcast series. Since they began DJing in the late 90s, they have favoured a deep and melodic sound; back then Moby or Massive Attack, today their own productions and those of peers on labels like Afterlife. Their Voyage podcast is a fine example of the Fideles sound, a journey that ranges from high-impact techno to dreamy synth tracks, including unreleased material and their latest single 'Cerchio'. After being interested in all sorts of music since a very young age, Ilija Djokovic soon realized that electronic music was where his heart is truly at. 

Ilija started DJing back in 2010 and from that time to his current position as one of the rising individuals on Balkan techno scene, he continued to challenge and innovate his work. Known for his energetic sets made of melodic and euphoric techno, this DJ has a sense to read the crowd and deliver exactly what’s needed on the dancefloor. 

Ilija is also making music as considered and carefully crafted as his DJ sets with releases on labels like Monika Kruse’s Terminal M and also Phobiq, Driving Forces and upcoming 3-track EP on Reiner Zonneveld’s Filth on Acid (incl. Roberto Capuano Remix). He is doing powerful techno tracks that have a great feedback both by his fans and renowned names such as Adam Beyer, John Digweed, UMEK, Hernan Cattaneo, Victor Ruiz, Fabio Florido, Sam Paganini, Cristian Varela and many more. 

Djokovic has worked with some of the most notable names on the scene with the likes of Nina Kraviz, Solomun, Dixon, Chris Liebing, Loco Dice, Monika Kruse, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Matador, Dubfire, Adriatique and Woo York among others.
