The Antikythera Mechanism

I'll never forget that night, out in the field, past the river's edge. The flash of light, so blue, yet so warm. The hum cut through the trees, silencing the otherwise chirping cricket, croaking frogs. What I saw that night can never be unseen, never be forgotten. True, I will bear the small circular scar upon my lower back for the rest of my days, reminding me that I was a witness to the event, but the memory of what I know transpired haunts me still. Those eyes, the moist cool touch, like dew covered glass. And when it spoke to me in that other-wordly voice and spoke those words, I knew I was chosen, that my time had come. That I could at last... go home. 

The Incident At Jeffrey Point

So I downloaded the original stem tracks for this Nine Inch Nails song and decided to do a basic remix of it. It's more of an alternate mix than anything, I didn't do anything too drastic too it, but it was a fun learning experience all the same. Enjoy.

A little live ambient jam I put together with some additional sound design in post.

Here In The Forest

A series of 5 ambient live jams done consecutively one afternoon with an Access Virus TI2, Behringer DeepMind 12 and Yamaha TX81Z and a few effects. No sequencer was used and a DAW was only used to capture the live output from my mixer with no mix, mastering or anything else added in post. This is how it came out of the speakers, as is.

Each piece was created one after the other in a similar key using all the same sound patches as each other for an overarching continuity between the movements with no form of rhythmic control or clock setting the tempo.

Each piece was composed off the cuff with no preparation or plan as I went. What you hear is what happened, wrong presets, clams and all. I hope you enjoy.
