Living up to its name: this mix goes just about everywhere and does just about everything. These days, I’m feeling a little calmer and more of a creature of (new) habit(s). So I wanted to give y’all one last chaotic treat for a while before approaching mixes with a more focused approach in terms of genre later throughout 2024 🫂

Mixed r&b , club, techno, drums, soca, ballroom, drum & bass, jungle, left field tunes & more.

2023 felt like three separate years. First Europe tour, first time scoring a documentary, shows around the country, heartbreak, a new kind of love, new friendships, losing all my music, & a life changing medical procedure. Many times it felt back to back life altering events- with “keep going” written down in my journal for about every month. This mix is a lil taste of that spiral.

Claude-Emmanuelle ne fait pas dans le consensuel. DJ, activiste, et provocatrice, ses sets sont imprévisibles et brûlants. Des sélections pointues, des surprises inattendues, et une seule mission : te faire bouger, transpirer et tout remettre en question. L’idée du mainstream, l’idée de l’underground, l’idée du Club/ rave, l’idée des genres, l’idée de comment ressentir la fête.

Pour ce djset, elle a voulu renouer avec ces premiers amour d’adolescence entre electro-rock 8-bit ,le métal, les samples des soirées du sud en 2010, les vestiges de l’hyperpop sur-remixés, les productions de ses adelphes trans et/ou racisées latinx, ravivé cet esprit punk des raves underground hyper mélodique ramasse et pour terminer sur sa dernier production avec Thnder sur de la Hard techno.

Since I moved to Berlin, I've started looking at Spain with different eyes. I guess living in such a grey and restrained city has made me want to return — if only through music — to somewhere warmer and more open. In a way, it made me reconnect with a very specific part of my musical memory: the late 2000s house scene in Spain.

Lately, I’ve been digging, remembering, and rediscovering sounds that defined that era: tribal, minimal, electro… all with that unapologetic, hedonistic vibe, free of pretension. And now that we’re once again talking about crisis and recession, I find myself drawn to that moment right before 2008 — when there was still hope, and everything felt possible.

This set is a tribute to that time, but also a way to bring some color, warmth, and sexiness into Berlin’s darkness. Something a bit more Spain.
