Before paparazzi, the rumors ignored, Women they loved him & he lived in a dream, Men wanted to be him or at least his persona,  Chorus Locked in his closet,  Tragic doomed icon, Roles that he played on the screen & in real life, Man’s man it’s certain but the phrase it got twisted, Locked in his closet but most fans just missed it, Locke in his closet,  Born to this age it would not be a problem, Back in the day it would have destroyed him, In hindsight so obvious, the veil worn thin, He starred with John Wayne & Doris Day, Silver screen hero whose loved they deemed immoral,

Songs a reflection on Rock Hudson and an era when being gay was referred to as being hid in the closet. I've never understood the paranoia about it.
