When we discovered "Path to the Unknown EP" by the Brazilians Souto and Nehli, the sensation that dominated our hearts was like hacking an ancient secret. Maybe because both artists have a deep knowledge of the power of sound frequencies to guide us through enigmatic musical journeys, with very well worked structures and a unique selection of elements.

Opening the project with "Our Time," Souto makes balanced use of atmospheric pads and arpeggiating synths that pave the way for an emotional yet strong drop. Next, "Path to the Unknown" picks up on the artists' maximum harmonic potential, which puts us on an ethnic-sensory journey between sensual melodies and vibrant beats.

This release also sees the wonderful participation of Lebanese storyteller Hrag Mikkel. He takes advantage of the concept of the occult and the unknown to create a groovy bass line and deliver an awesome alternative to the original track.

Continuing a strong start to the year, Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Microlot back to the label for his debut EP ‘All Living Things’. Hailing from Australia, Luke Warren aka Mircolot has been a fixture of Australia’s electronic underground for the better part of a decade. Noted for his evocative textures, organic grooves and dubby rhythmic structures, Microlot's craft shines through vividly, making each one of his creations an absorbing experience. On the strength of releases for Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas, the Sydney resident made his Sound Avenue debut in 2021 with a remix of Madloch and Subnode’s ‘Utopia’, a project which would lead to a two-track showcase via label affiliate Crossfade Sounds in 2022. Now, making a welcome return to Sound Avenue, Microlot unveils the first of three sampler EP’s which will precede the release of his debut album due in November of this year.

Nature is healing, it is expansion. We emerged in total harmony with this environment in the simple purpose of disseminating good music, providing a new perspective on the electronic sphere, creating an ecosystem to change the stigma that already exists about this musical niche.
