Canadian born (and a Toronto resident), MoSS may be a new name to some in the music game, but his production credits are instantly recognizable and have resulted in over 2 million record sales worldwide. Ghostface Killah’s smash hit “Kilos”, Raekwon’s ”Have Mercy”, Obie Trice’s entire Special Reserve album and most recently a collaborative album with Eternia (At Last which was released on Fatbeats).

MoSS got his first taste of notoriety by working with Obie Trice (Shady Records) around 2000. Moss was producing records for Obie, including both his independent singles ”Well Known” and the 12” “Mr. Trice,” which created the buzz that eventually led to Obie’s major label deal. Since then, MoSS has produced for a long list of “who’s who” in the hip hop world, including: Joell Ortiz, Ghostface, Papoose, Peedi Crack, The Game, Slum Village, Boot Camp Clik, Red Cafe, Mr Easy, AZ, Bounty Killa, D-Block (Styles P and Sheek Louch), Termanology, Big Shug, M.O.P., Kool G. Rap, Ras Kass, Omilio Sparks, Proof of D12 and the list goes on.

A former member of DJ Premier’s production label, “Works of Mart”, as Premier’s first ever production signee, MoSS is not only an emcee’s producer, but a producer’s producer as well. Recognized by an elite group in his field, he is known by many as a true “record digger.” Having assisted on price guides, rare record books and various musical anthologies, MoSS eventually started his own reissue label, Strawberry Rain, which specializes in re-releasing rare psychedelic music from around the world, including countries like Indonesia, Iran, France; and even Zambia where he travelled to find records and artists. Strawberry Rain has gained recognition across the globe and has been singled-out by a veritable slew of major media publications.

While his production work for other artists has resulted in him being recognized by outlets such as Rolling Stone, Spin, People and more, today, MoSS officially unveils his debut album, Marching To The Sound Of My Own Drum, which will be released on 11-13-15 and features appearances from Joe Budden, DJ Premier, AZ, Joell Ortiz, Sean Price, Jon Connor, Skyzoo, Inspectah Deck, Ill Bill, Havoc, Onyx, Slum Village, Willie The Kid, Guilty Simpson, Termanology, Peedi Crakk, Slaine and others.

Denver rapper Donnie Raven makes his debut in a major way with “Rainin’,” a straight-up lyrical showcase featuring a guest verse from wordplay assassin Elzhi, with production supplied by your favorite producer’s favorite producer…Nottz Raw!

It may be his first single ever—and it stems from his upcoming 'Livelihood' EP—but Raven sounds as put-together and confident as someone who’s been doing this for years. That could be because he cut his teeth as a freestyle champion in his high school years. And even though he’s moved on to fully structured, carefully crafted songs, he hasn’t lost the clever wordplay that permeated his come-up.

It’s only fitting, then, that his debut track is an exercise in top-tier wordplay alongside a master of the form. Raven and Elzhi trade verses that are brimming with quotables like “Raising the bar like it’s my only daughter” and “I’m flyer than aeronautical engineering.” But the track is actually grounded by feelings of inspiration and hope, thanks in part to Shyne The Goddess’ powerful hook and Nottz’s crunchy, uplifting production. 

“Rainin’” is a powerful cut, and it signifies a bright future for Donnie Raven. The single is available now for stream and download through all major DSPs, and can be purchased for Instant Grat off the iTunes’ pre-order of for 'Livelihood.' David & Goliath are the larger-than-life duo of rappers King Magnetic and GQ Nothin Pretty, who today share their debut single, “Kut One,” which is packed with quotables and wall-shaking production.

You can thank the producer/deejay of the same name—Melbourne’s Kut One—for the menacing instrumental that perfectly complements the back-and-forth bars of the two emcees. And there are plenty of good reasons why these two sound so damn good together on this track, and the rest of their forthcoming EP, Slingshots, for that matter. 

King Mag and GQ both hail from the city of Allentown, PA, and have toured Europe and the U.S. together multiple times. Not only that, but they’ve collaborated a number of times in the past, most recently on King Mag’s 2018 project, Back in the Trap, with Canadian producer, DOCWILLROB, along with their single, ”Belligerent,” featuring Tom Sav and Twin Gambit, released earlier this year. Anyone who’s seen them live or heard those past collaborations already knew there was something special brooding underneath the surface, and with “Kut One” they’ve brought it to life.
