This track was 100% composed and sequenced on a DAWless setup: Model:Samples for drums + as a sequencer for bass and lead synths, Model D for bass, Skulpt for pads, Microfreak for the stabby chords and NTS-1 for the digital-ish lead. Effects: Zoom MS-70CDR for chorus/delay/reverb for the Microfreak and the NTS-1 chorus/delay/reverb for it’s own sound + reverb only for the Skulpt. Recorded using Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 interface and mastered with plugins (Arturia and Softube). Everything was recorded in one take. The only elements that were added in post are the FX sounds.

Random Life

This track was produced 100% using a DAW. I decided to experiment with some new techniques, specifically, polymeters and polyrhythms. Some of the synth lines are a combination of different polyrhythmic patterns producing a constantly evolving melody. It is kept quite subtle in this track, but I feel it does make it more interesting. Almost all synth sounds are generated with Arturia VSTs: Prophet, Minimoog, Jupiter, CS-80 and DX7. I also used delays from Arturia, such as the Delay Tape and the Memory Brigade. Wonderful plugins!
