These 9 short pieces were created for Converse Theatre Production of Betrayal by Harold Pinter.  The pieces are intended to be timeless as the Production did not attach itself to any particular decade.  The original composition was Minor Strings which I thought of as a complicated dance for 4 voices which mirrors the 4 named characters in Betrayal.  The 4 characters are in complicated relationships with each other.  Each of the 9 pieces share compositional ideas that can be heard in the original Minor Strings.  The pieces were used during scene changes and helped to locate the performers and audience in particular emotional (or geographic) places.
