Darkest Green is an original piano composition from my project Butterflies, which has nothing to do with their aesthetics but rather their symbolism - exploring themes of transformation, emergence, inner metamorphosis.

This piece explores the hidden beauty of change, and the fragile power of transcendence, as it moves through shadows and feelings of uncertainty, with fluttering textures and expansive sweeps that reflect the tension between darkness and the fertile possibility of becoming.

"Ah! Sun-flower" is a poem by William Blake, published in his collection Songs of Experience in 1794. The poem explores themes of longing, weariness, and the human desire for something beyond earthly existence, using the sunflower as a symbol.

Tom's piano melodies are so inspirational, not just to me (Mark) but also to Jussi, Georg and Boon. The energy of this piece carried us all off on a wonderful journey. We hope you enjoy the joyful enthusiasm that Tom initiated. Tom also gave me the key line, 'My Way Through' and I had to run with it as it made so much sense with this uplifting and hopeful music. There must be some anguish in me that I don't know well,
as I'm often told that I write a very nostalgic music.
I don't mind but I don't think it is my true nature,
or is it something about myself I ignore and other can recognize.
What's real is the anguish of the blank page.
It does exist, always will.
When I must start writing, I'll try to find a way
to do anything else before delving into it.
But I know that when I begin working, when I put the first note
on the paper I won't be able to stop.
I think about it without knowing it.
I wake up in the morning with an idea.
But when I begin working I'm stuck.
Then I'm tired, I don't feel like working anymore....
I've done enough!
I won't find anything else, I can't redo it.
It's also the anguish, feeling like
I won't be able to start again.
But before going to sleep, I look carefully
at what I've done, and without thinking about it...
I find the solution for the end.
