Global Bass sweethearts World Hood are back with a new vibey EP full of 808s and esperanza. Singer Estrella Hood describes the long-awaited Lost in Ether EP as “an audio offering for healing at the altar of our collective hearts.” The ethereal ballads range from prayers to the natural world and its protectors to soothing chants about the ever-changing nature of reality. Hood’s spiritual songwriting floats effortlessly over El Indio’s grounded grooves and dancefloor sensibilities to weave new mantras of hope and connection together for listeners. 

The husband and wife/producer and lyricist duo of El Indio and Estrella Hood have been hard at work during the pandemic working to create musical medicine for healing the trauma we have all been living through for the past couple of years. In 2020, El Indio’s Shelter in Bass live mix series was featured on the Hard Rock Hotel’s Friday Night Dance Party livestream nationwide.

While we are present in this unique moment, the new EP looks backward and forward in time simultaneously. “Lost in Ether captures the vibrational and energy shifts currently taking place between the world as we knew it and the one which is currently being birthed,” Estrella Hood explains.
