With a penchant for off-kilter drum and bass, bass, dub and dubstep, sina meticulously curates sets that mix and match elements of atmospheric trip hop, murky post-DnB and the mischievous 2-step sounds of the 90/00s. Witnessing sina grace the decks at Inward Goods festival was a nostalgic luxury - I felt like I’d stepped into some form of magical Y2k swamp party, where only the best of early 2000s drum and bass were being thrown down. Sina’s contributions to the community extend beyond the decks and into the realm of party planning and label curation (Secret World) whilst also forming ⅓ of the band dregs. For this mix I wanted to try and build a blend some of the outcome of my researches towards the different shades and forms of danceable music I personally enjoy the most, possibly limiting as much as possible the usage of music conceived and created specifically for the contemporary dance floors and sound systems, and trying to dig deeper into different dimensions of regular and non-regular rhythms, music jams and head-moving sonic creations from all over the world, mostly focusing on the mediterranean macro area and more.

My past, when I was living in Berlin and DJing more regularly in clubs, has helped me shape my technical skills. Milano instead has helped me breaking my limits, getting out of my comfort zone and destroying a lot of the patterns that, as a DJ and Music Maker, were locking me down in a box. There’s a lot of oxygen, curiosity and creativity nowadays in my everyday life.

Definitely one of the kinetic events. I prefer small DIY events over infamous and hyper-celebrated social gatherings. The only thing I care the most about lately is the sound system.

"This mix is really special to me. I wanted to honor Temple by playing music that moves me and rarely get the chance to play— a blend of old gems and new discoveries. I picture this session as 'free-form': The energy shifts and fluctuates throughout, keeping listeners relaxed but engaged for the next acts.

Creating this mix felt like piecing together a puzzle, selecting the tracks I was excited to listen to on the incredible sound system at Espacio Perpendicular. I also kept in mind while selecting, the comfortable and cozy setting, with the cute pillow setup on the floor and beautiful sunlight entering the big windows—making it the perfect place for everyone to really dive into the music. I got to learn, connect with seasoned listeners, and enjoy the fantastic sets of the other artists, all while embracing the sweet, mellow vibe of a gathering like Temple.
