N3Ptune is a collaboration between World Canvas artist and designer TWO HEAVENS (Gabriel Boicel) and Below0/Club0 label affiliate and one-half of the Shepherd's Call duo, Niko Demus (Niilo Lehtonen).
N3Ptune presents two unique renditions of the same song, both characterized by a similar shine and glimmer, showcasing the Helsinki-based artists' distinctive sonic signatures in trance-inspired Nordic ambient.

Million stars... There's something going on under the surface, are we still on a quest? So many questions...

The weather destroyed the grand piano. Now it waits solemnly on the charred remains of a pile of wooden debris.

Or did we lose the meaning?

Its keys are speckled with hues of hundred stars - touched by the many moons which have traveled through us.

If every person is worth a song, does it also apply to piano VST's?

We are its strings, spirals and thoughts, shaped by the moments and paths laid before and twisting ahead. (We are star bodies)

Murrettumeri & Romance Relic - Piano Compositions

Returning to World Canvas with a new body of work ‘Angels Caught In Tungsten’, Jyväskylä-based producer Comastasis presents a sonic motion in three parts.
Opening with a slowly building 15 minute composition ‘Gods Won’t Lactate For You Like They Do For Me’ Comastasis weaves a distorted movement of strings and whimpers, building into grindcore-adjacent climax.
‘20230725_121312piano’ presents Comastasis on his perhaps most restrained through a piano improvisation shifting between different tonalities and ambiguous chord progressions.
Closing the release with emotionally draining ‘When You Have Time To Think About Your Life Again, There Will Still Be That One Thing That Isn't Broken’, Comastasis utilises stab and beat patterns while building on top of itself through a perpetually shifting movement and tension.
Throughout its length, ‘Angels Caught In Tungsten’ maintains a clear sense of minimalism and non-compromising attitude of its presentation. While Comastasis builds on a familiar foundation of his aesthetic properties, the release suggests its soundscapes as something at times more wholistic, traversing between sometimes arbitrary dichotomies of natural (more-than-human) and digital (technological esoteria).

Keiska - Verkkosaari

Finnish ultrapop band Teini-ikä makes their return to World Canvas with their new single release ‘Hei DJ’. Known from their emotionally euphoric melodies and processed vocals, ‘Hei DJ’ extends said aspects into rave-inclined territory. The song’s lyrics describing a hedonistic voyage on a Helsinki-Stockholm cruise ship, the vocals culminate into explosive gabber-inspired kicks which burst at their seams. 
Releasing on the verge of post-lockdown dance music era, ‘Hei DJ’ builds a world of something once experienced and something waiting on the horizon.

World Canvas has the pleasure to present Kaino Kim Vieno's song 'Sörnäinen', a vulnerable, balladic expression off of their upcoming debut album.
The single release is accompanied by a music video by Lännen tehtaat, premiering on the online art editorial platform AQNB on the November 17th.

'Sörnäinen' is the first single from Kaino Kim Vieno's upcoming debut album 'For Those Who Wait'.
They produced the track in collaboration with Murrettumeri, during a 5-day album recording session in Turku, during which a bird got trapped in the studio, but finally found its way out.

World Canvas Mix 23 comes from innerinnerlife (Tomasz Szpaderski) whose delicate and tender ambient compositions have been featured on Portuguese labels Eastern Nurseries and surf. On his 2021 EP ‘R U OK?’ innerinnerlife weaved together luscious avant-pop structures which are as well present on his mix for World Canvas. Recently Szpaderski has been producing plenty of new unreleased music, some of which is premiered on the guestmix at hand.

Following Helsinki-based producer Tari’s (Taras Protchenko) collaborations with Allison Data over the recent years, he presents a debut EP and World Canvas label debut in the form of ‘exp./ moments’, a release of three original electronic compositions.
Tari’s musical direction is guided and informed by overarching motifs of sentimentality: The release’s songs bring together harmonies interwoven with voices carrying a sense of disembodiment, while reaching for something in the close vicinity and further in the distance. The EP’s songs display Tari’s sense for sparse yet detailed and determined harmonic and ambient sonic movements, which present themselves as a body of work, reminiscent of a space of scattered lushness and dissolving boundaries.
The release comes with a remix by Tari’s close friends and collaborators Queendyster, Allison Data and Acedia & features an original photography by Boris Protchenko.

Vio Lino is a Copenhagen based artist, exploring with the endless combinations of pop, minimalism, pipe organ sounds, noise and all in-between. 

This mixtape is trying to gather fragments of inspiration coming from a varied array of sources, from pop culture to childhood memories such as Justin Bieber to Harry Potter memes, from cover songs to original written material. 

Experimenting with contrasting genres melted together, creating a community of sounds, where all can co-exist in harmony, it is ultimately an ode to songs that have inspired a time of innocence, mixed with some that are relevant to the artist today.

Building on the foundation and the sonic materials introduced on AЯA, '………shared strain' continues to weave together distortion, sparse processed vocals and fluctuating rhythmic movements, expanding on the synthesis and composition in smirnova's practice.
As the harmonic and rhythmic passages in the songs on '………shared strain' drift in and out of the grid and dissolve into each other, they give space and elevate the vocalizations of one another in imaginative ways of developing and exploring sound, sonic structures and their capabilities.

early afternoon, january in Helsinki, borrowing a record player from a new flatmate, refreshing the memory of my dusty & tiny vinyl collection from the bottom of the cupboard, the player has couple buttons and a slider to manipulate the sound, the sun shines bright in the winter sky, I can change the speed and a pitch/tempo, I have this vinyl with 40 very short loops from a label I adore, limitations I love; never really considered that record to make a full mix of some sort, love for the music and curiosity of a moment - curiosity for the music and appreciation of the moment; the record player can also be connected to the compute via usb, let’s play - press record, spin the levy tiskijukka.
