Spring has thankfully sprung, and the season's heralding not only the welcome return of warm temperatures, but hot music ­ the latter specifically: ​Worldtown SoundSystem​, the long­awaited debut of Philadelphia's premier global funk collective, Worldtown Soundsystem. The five­track EP, like its title, is the official introduction to the eclectic 11­person ensemble ­ which contains members from Nigeria, Brazil, Vermont, Alabama and, of course, Philly – after years of audience appetite­whetting, including a string of acclaimed teaser tracks and stage­shattering concerts, both here and in other cities.

Random (memories) is a song that is an extension of DJs that tells stories when they produce or play. Songs that encompass the stream of consciousness being sent from the DJ to the dance floor, and to the people inside the club and out into the world. Random (memories) takes hold of you from the beginning to the end. It is well rounded track as most of Sun El's productions are dramatic, rhythmic, and avant-garde.
