Once again, SpazeCraft (WorldUP's Director of Interactive Sound) was tasked to bring The Living Remix Project to the New York Hall of Science's Pop-Up Learning Labs. For this iteration, SpazeCraft reached out to his good friend David Last, whom had been working on the interactive audio soundtrack for an interactive kinetic (video) game called Night Games. Well it just so happened that Night Games was going to premiere at the New York Hall of Science the very same day of the Pop-Up Learning Labs.. so how awesome would it be to "remix" the soundtrack before it even premieres??? Well thats what we did!!

David checked in with his collaborators, got the approval & sent a nice collection of audio stems from the original soundtrack, Spaze & participants created a sonic collage, using select bits as well as creating sounds with portable "noise makers" by gadgITERATION (http://www.gadgiteration.org/). no ordinary noise makers, we made synth sounds with a plush toy DUCK, with conductive thread wrapped around the wings, we proceeded to make what was called "Duckstep". ?

Technology consultant Sarah Slocum loves social media and her Google Glass, she wears them everywhere. But when she walked into Molotov's, a bar on Haight Street in San Francisco, she discovered that not everyone shares her love for wearable tech.

Also, your host makes his annual pilgrimage to SXSWi and ends up designing wearables at a surreal Hack Day. We also hear from Shingy, AOL's Digital Prophet. He believes wearables will allow us to have it both ways: we can be both digital and human.

Shouts to everyone who tuned in LIVE. We apologize for the technical difficulties in the first 30 minutes. Joe made sure to make up for it with a very diverse and educational set ranging from plenty of forgotten gems and a few new joints scattered throughout the show. There is something refreshing about playing these specific classic songs from the 90's & 00's. No one really plays this style on the radio anymore outside of the expected/popular classics that you hear over and over again (if that makes sense). We will continue to bring it back home more often as well as providing you with new future music.

Iman Omari on the other hand came out firing from the gates with amazing original material and a few standout selects from some other great artists like Kaytranada. Iman is really a genuine person inside and out. You can hear it through his music and interview. Look out for his Soulection White Label in the near future.

Soulection Radio Show #174 w/ Iman Omari

Eritrean-American DJ, producer an all-around creative Eden Hagos brings visibility to those future sounds that you can’t quite put your genre finger on. Deeply rooted in underground hip-hop, sample-based, percussion-heavy tunes, and future bass, Eden’s ear for unique sounds has kept her digging since her uncle gave her her first Fugees album at age 16.

Eden has dropped 20 mix-tapes - the third installation, "Currently", caught the attention of OkayPlayer deeming the young beatstress "a prophet of future sounds". The beat scene and local producers started listening and partnerships with artists, labels, and connectors in the community became plentiful.

Miss Hagos’ love for creative culture has led to opportunities to perform at underground clubs, international festivals, and celebrity and fashion events alike. She has opened for Snakehips, Anderson. Paak, Jmsn, Syd tha Kid, Tokimonsta, Sango, and Goldlink to name a few.

Eden is poised to bring light to the beat makers in this movement while uncovering and educating folks along the way of all of the genres that exist within these future sounds.
