Returning to Street Tracks for another super charged single release, James Burton delivers a pair of sure-fire winners on ‘Dance Infusion’.  Fast accumulating a strong fanbase with his infectious tunes, Burton has kept busy releasing on labels like Solardo’s Sola imprint, Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two, and Skream’s Of Unsound Mind.

Hip-house influences percolate the title track ‘Dance Infusion’, as an organ driven, tech-fuelled track is injected with animated vocals and frisky one-shots.  And on ‘Soulflute’, another up-tempo vibe is assured, as piano chords and 90’s inspired house tropes underpin a flute melody and peppy vocal samples for a bright and buoyant club cut.

For release number 6 we are delighted to welcome our good friend Citizen back to the W&O Street Tracks family and along with him a producer we've had our eye on for sometime, Joe Ashworth.

Kicking off the EP we have 'Situation', a deep tribal house track featuring vocalist Shona Carmen that evokes the spirit of legendary clubs such as NY's Sound Factory whilst still sounding totally fresh and original. Stripped back without any unnecessary frills or flourishes, it's a masterclass in soulful yet simultaneously jacking house music.

If the original had more than a touch of Manhattan to it, then the 'LDN Warehouse Dub' brings things right back home with a sound forged on smoke filled dance floors in the grimier districts of East London and in its hypnotic, metallic bass line a nod to the Bleep sound of a previous generation of warehouse fillers like Unique 3 and LFO.

Finally we finish things off with 'State' a tautly wound piece of underground house music, that gently ratchets up the tension over 4 minutes before the organ comes in and before you can say 'La Da Dee, La Da Day' lifts the track, and we'd put money on any crowds listening to it, up to a whole 'nother level.

With half a dozen releases now in our first year from the likes of Ejeca, Rhythm Operator, Squarehead, Chamboché and Waze & Odyssey, W&O Street Tracks has quickly established itself at the forefront of the UK’s ongoing house music renaissance.

On their third release for Street Tracks, the Munich based duo Tonic Walter enlist the vocal talents of Nina Nst on the beautiful ‘Cosmic Kiss’ single. 

Having already impressed on their previous releases ‘Empty Space’ and ‘Let You Go’, both featuring SWSL¥, ‘Cosmic Kiss’ leans upon the celestial electronic pop that has defined their sound to date. The 17th volume of Street Tracks Imprint series serves up the usual exceptional quality and freshest production talent as this five track EP shines the spotlight on five new artists.

UK duo K & K deliver an old school rave inspired house track with ‘Blow’, with its cheeky acid motifs and hands in the air stabs for a real peak time energiser.  The roots of UK dance are similarly doffed a cap to, as ELZACE’s ‘Xstacy’ deploys classic house tropes for an epic future-retro floor filler.

Rising Italian producer ProOne79 comes good with the rattling 909 driven jack track ‘Spicy’ whilst Sopp goes straight to the euphoric pianos on the pumping ‘Make Me Feel (Don’t Hurt Me)’.  Wrapping up another bustling Imprint instalment, Ollie Red’s ‘My Love Appears’ signs off in fine style, as spongy synths and skippy beats make for a bright, soulful and inventive cut from the San Diego based producer.

A pair of rolling house bangers are served up by Tone Troy and Eurostep on their collaborative single release for Street Tracks

Hailing from New York City, Tone Troy has been firing out releases for labels such as REALM, Snatch, Nervous, Stealth and Farris Wheel over the last few years, whilst the Los Angeles based duo Eurostep have been refining their sound with releases on Nervous, Repopulate Mars, and CUFF amongst others. The collaboration has consummated a friendship that's lasted a few years now, after hosting and visiting each other in California and New York respectively.

Title track ‘Freek’ features crunchy drums and rave-like stabs, its vocal hook infectious and uplifting, whilst ‘I Gotta Know’ plays it slightly deeper, deploying a sultry vocal top line and acidic pulses for a breezy and sophisticated house track.

UK artist Ben Walsh returns to Street Tracks armed with a potent two-tracker titled ‘Roadrunna’.

Alongside his output on Street Tracks, Walsh has also been busy releasing across a range of other imprints, including DPE and NozZo, and most recently on Lapsus Music.

Walsh gives an insight into the new single; “Roadrunna” is something new from my recent productions. Fresh back from travelling around Australia for the past 6 months, I've been enjoying adapting and exploring new sounds, and I feel this single showcases that. The A-side “Roadrunna” has that flowing deep baseline which aligns with the sharp drums and percussion. A catchy vocal and an electric synth line keeps you pinned in the track. The B-side "Bring This Down" gives a powerful flair to the release with its gritty baseline and breakbeat style drums. Again, a catchy snapshot vocal and a heavy synth line creating that peak time atmosphere, I feel it really aligns well with the track.”

Storm Mollison opens the Street Tracks 2024 account with a stylish groove-laden single, ‘Mollyraw’.

The London born, Florida raised producer & DJ has been turning heads with her DJ sets, performing across the UK & further afield, with residencies at Pleasurehood (XOYO) and Feel It (OMEARA), on top of sets at Lost Village, Wilderness, Glastonbury Festival and Rise Festival.  Storm was also recently singled out by Beatport as an emerging artist to watch over the coming months.

With a slew of successful releases and remixes already under her belt for labels such as Black Butter, Slow Supermarket and Hot Haus Records, the ‘Mollyraw’ single further cements Storm’s emergence on the scene.

Irish producer Air Tapes dishes out a superlative pair of intricate club tracks for Street Tracks on the ‘Wind Tunnel / Qwesh’ single.

Drawing comparisons to the likes of Four Tet, Caribou and Nicolas Jaar, Air Tapes, real name Hubie Davison, has been firing out a swathe of tightly crafted productions for some time, both under his birth name and his Air Tapes alias, landing releases on labels such as Leisure System, ReGraded and R&S Records.

Having already being singled out as an artist to watch out for in 2018, Will Easton presents his debut release on W&O Street Tracks with a fine triplet of tracks on the “18 Month Free Trial” EP.

The title track has notched up radio play already from the BBC Radio 1 team of Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Monki, as well as club support from the likes of Patrick Topping, Solardo and Waze & Odyssey, and it’s not hard to see why.  “18 Month Free Trial”, with its irresistible ascending synth riff, bumping groove and shuffling percussion, is a fully formed and fully road tested dancefloor heater!

“Take It To The Bridge” mashes up rave chops and rasping bass as Easton ramps up the BPMs; snare rolls and old school piano stabs make for one hell of an industrious production, whilst on “Karma”, arpeggiated keys and vocal refrains are joined by a hefty bassline and driving drums for a real ‘hands in the air’ house moment.

One of the biggest dance tracks of the year so far undoubtedly belongs to Will Easton.  ’18 Month Free Trial’, released on W&O Street Tracks, was hammered from all four sides of the electronic music community, and spent 5 months in the Beatport Top 100 chart, so infectious was this young producer’s debut for our label.  

On ‘023’, Easton wastes no time at all in bringing the key elements to the fore; a gnarly acid bassline and rasping chord stabs provide the contagious melodies underpinned by a swinging and shaking drum pattern that recedes as the breakdown takes on ‘French Kiss’ proportions with it’s drastic speed adjustments.  Quite simply, it’s another sure-fire winner from Easton, whose star continues to rise with stellar productions like this.

With his Italian roots clearly showing in his passionate execution of house bomb after house bomb, Durante delivers a fine brace of tracks on the Evaporate EP for Street Tracks.

Past releases on labels like Amtrac’s Openers imprint, Nice Age and Earthly Delights have helped establish the LA based producer’s credentials, and he shines once again across the two tracks here.

‘Evaporate’, featuring PaulWetz, dispatches a lazy disco groove over its seductive bassline and endearing keys, a perfect, breezy house cut for the long hot summer.  PaulWetz drops a captivating vocal and conscious lyric to bind this warm production together.  Steering musically into more progressive territories, ‘Once Again’ pumps low and heavy, a juicy and round bottom end rhythmically chugs as soaring synths and percussive hits raise the temperatures!

Having already made a big impact on the music scene in a relatively short space of time, in part thanks to his two previous releases on Street Tracks (‘18 Month Free Trial’ and ‘023’), Will Easton returns to the label with a killer new single. Bursting with a vibrant bass melody and a soaring piano & strings motifs, ‘Kaleidoscope’ creates pure dancefloor energy and drama from the get go.  Easton keeps the elements nice and simple, whilst always getting the maximum from them, a testament to his knack of crafting contemporary club bombs!

James Burton has already released certified bangers on labels like Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two, Skream’s Of Unsound Mind and Kaluki Music, and returns to Street Tracks after an appearance on the ‘Imprint Vol. 4’ EP in 2019 with a three tracker of contemporary house music.

Subby bass, tight swinging beats and slick synth stabs form the basis of title track ‘Need U So Bad’, which is abundant with energy and spirit, whilst ‘Expression’ is a funky and playful cut that certainly packs a punch, resplendent with vocal chops and precision drums.  Closing the EP, ‘Here’s What You Are’ doesn’t drop the energy levels one jot, with another sure fire winner, serving up a sweet vocal led groover on the highest order!
