Encapsulating the WotNot ethos perfectly, London-based producer SRE's (also know as Sex Rules Everything) music is fun and soulful. It presents its own fresh take on House, with a Hip-Hop soul burning beneath the choppy 4x4 beats.

So far only appearing on WotNot's Dancefloor Sweets Vol.1 compilation (which also featured IMYRMIND, K15 and Glenn Kelly) and the annual WotNot Advent calendar, SRE's low-slung, sexy house rhythms are perfect for deep club vibes or Sunday afternoon headphone sessions. This release serves as further foreplay, with a longer, nastier session set to release next year.

R&B producer Alphabets Heaven recently released two EPs, Siamese Burn and Everything Stays The Same, but felt constrained using too many organic sounds. So, on new EP Wander (due May 20 via WotNot), the Brighton producer but has put more focus on sound design and a more open approach to styles. A perfect little number for the post-rave early hours, "Say What You Mean" sees Charo's gentle tones swim gracefully through the slippery, shimmering synths while a gentle beat clicks and pops subtly at the surface. The result is an ultra-smooth, sparkling take on R&B that sets the scene for a very promising future for Alphabets Heaven.

via @wotnotmusic: In accord with WotNot’s knack for nurturing talent, our first Dancefloor Sweets featured an early appearance from Tartelet & Money $ex artist IMYRMIND, and the first ever K15 house track! Volume 2 continues in this vein with a new pick ‘n’ mix bag of feel-good crowd-pleasers from EVM128, Body-san, Danvers and Galactic Ganesh, while Volume 1 also receives a long overdue (limited) press to vinyl, with a new added track from SexRulesEverything.

Those familiar with EVM128 will place him firmly at the forefront of the new wave of broken beat artists. A highlight of his critically acclaimed 2015 LP Nova was Beyond, featuring soul legend Omar, and Warm ‘n’ Easy ft. Oliver Night stands in this vein but hits even harder, with smooth soulful vocals riding the strident rhythms flowing through the bass, drums and chords.
 
Wherever the night’s at, one of these will surely go down a treat, and it kicks off a string of new stuff from WotNot including releases from Danvers, K15, Charo and new artist William Florelle.
