TLILTIC Records presents its first collection of remixes. On this new occasion, it was Light up by Drifter that received this treatment. This single made us understand what Drifter does best —create intangible soundscapes, followed by immersive feelings that are represented by the contemplation behind his harmonies and melodies. The pianos dance around an empirical atmosphere full of beautiful insights and small disappointments. The raw, irenic voice chases all the drum processing from the loud amen breaks that fit perfectly into this comforting take on UK Garage.

First, we have a version of Melodic Techno by Marksman, a British producer recognized by his ability to build amazing tunes with progressive melodies. The influence of the artist as a classical musician has already provided us with a his single ‘Warp Speed’ & now he is giving us his remix of Light up.

Warp Speed EP embarks on a mysterious musical journey, with each track combining funky bassline grooves and drums with mystical synth euphoria of progressive techno. Both written in the Dorian mode, the initial harmonic darkness to the tracks develops into a brighter and somewhat uplifting conclusion, whilst maintaining a sense of exciting exploration.

Warp Speed paints a bewildering sense of emotion during the first half akin to discovering new horizons, strange and uneasy at first but then becoming comfortable with the uncertainty through the breakdown progression and second half.

William Medagli, Thallulah & Shemsu mark their debut on ICONYC with their brand new single 'Arizona' that delivers a slice of early spring vibes. The track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. The trio's trademark beat manipulation is prevalent, as all manner of elements drift in and out of earshot. Perfect for beat loving club crowd and to get you in the mood for a big night out.

OIBAF & WALLEN, who need no introduction created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as their restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up we have Paul Sawyer, the English maestro known for his polished sound, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh – His transcendent touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

Last but not least we have a remix courtesy of Arash Shadram, who delivers a trademark deep melodic mix with infectious chords, intense drums and smooth breakdown. It's all about the groove, cool melodic vibes and the driving beats that are working their magic around Arash Shadram's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip. 

With 'Arizona' William Medagli, Thallulah & Shemsu really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments! Taking influences from the 90’s progressive house scene all the way to the current day melodic house and techno, Southampton based producer Richard Ball (aka wouds) takes you on an organic journey across the dance floor, blending ethereal textures and vocals with dark analog synths.

He cut his teeth by DJing in London in the late 90’s and early 00’s and started producing soon after this, having one single released on plastikpark. He regularly frequented clubs such as Renaissance, Fabric and The End and you can hear these influences in his current day productions.

He now resides in Southampton, England and is releasing music under the pseudonym wouds.
