Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have done it again, this time with the incredible new track ‘G.Y.P.S.Y.’, co-produced with rising Italian duo Boostedkids (Dany Spada and Frankinelli) and set for world wide release on Smash The House on November 11th.

The single, which originally debuted as part of the official Tomorrowland 2013 After Movie, is a sensational blend of traditional gypsy music, haunting flutes, wind and string instruments which are juxtaposed to perfection against a thundering, driving, sexy-as-hell beat absolutely brimming with funk – guaranteed to bring the biggest of houses crashing down as it powers out of international speaker systems.
 
News of ‘G.Y.P.S.Y.’s imminent release comes just days after the announcement of the pair’s forthcoming collaboration with Borgeous and DVBBS, ‘Stampede’ (due November 18th on Spinnin’ Records), and signals the sheer volume of music set to come out from the Belgian brothers over the coming months. Absolutely prolific inside the studio and out – as their huge rise to the #6 position in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Chart proved only last week – Dimitri and Mike look set to turn the heat up even higher as they focus their attention towards 2014.

Alphabet is a relentless EDM-leaning anthem that documents excess, overload, and sensory saturation in real time. Built around repetition, escalation, and rhythm, the song turns intoxication into structure, spelling out a nightlife experience that moves faster than memory and louder than restraint.

Lyrically, Alphabet frames substance use as a spectrum rather than a moment. “From A to Z” becomes both a hook and a thesis, signaling total immersion with no off switch and no sobriety in sight. The verses spiral through altered consciousness, complex thoughts, and bass-driven euphoria, where sound itself feels coded and symbolic. Drugs are listed alphabetically, almost mechanically, stripping them of romance and turning them into components of a larger system. The result feels less like celebration and more like documentation. This is what overload sounds like when everything hits at once .

Beneath the chaos, the song carries a sense of detachment. Names blur, memories drop out, and identity dissolves into sensation. Party culture is depicted as communal and numbing, euphoric and hollow at the same time. The repetition reinforces that cycle. High, crash, repeat. Even humor and bravado feel chemical, driven by momentum rather than intention.

Sonically, Alphabet sits squarely in EDM territory at 125 BPM, built for club systems and late-night environments. The mix is tonal, dense, and forward, with vocals embedded into a wall of synths and bass rather than floating above it. The groove favors continuity over swing, creating a hypnotic push that mirrors the lyrics’ sense of nonstop intake. The relatively tight stereo field and mid-heavy balance keep the track claustrophobic and intense, amplifying the feeling of being trapped inside the experience rather than observing it from the outside 

At its core, Alphabet is not a warning or a flex. It’s a snapshot. A track that captures what happens when stimulation replaces stillness and everything is consumed in bulk. This is nightlife as algorithm, excess as routine, and sound as the last thing standing when clarity disappears.
