Every producer who has their studio set up sprawled around their bedroom would probably agree that half of their sound can be attributed to its coziness. However, these tracks in comparison to my work as ‘wowflower’ are an anomaly. Created in moments of hesitation and heartbreak, theme songs of sorts, written by a separate persona in an effort to understand those dark moments. These tracks are the unfiltered run off of what can be accomplished when you have nowhere to be but in your head making love songs about the boys and girls you used to know.

I reached out to Wowflower sometime ago to see if he would be interested in doing a cassette release with brrwd, something that would be a collection of his more pop leaning tracks.  He agreed and sent several folders of songs which were then arranged into what is the cassette we present here.  For cover art, we tried several different ideas that didn't seem quite right.  Finally we came across an illustration on Lennard Kok's instagram page which he agreed to allow us to use.

A fever dream is a particularly intense or confusing dream brought on by a fever.
This album was heavily inspired by the work of both Perrin Moss [of Hiatus Kaiyote] and Paul Thomas Anderson.
The goal here is to establish a claustrophobic and hypnotic electronic atmosphere that can also be used as a type of narcotic to stimulate creative thinking. With some moments of ease and some of dizzying anxiety, I hope you enjoy your fever dream.
