Your Spending Swap with John Cross

WRFA-LP and the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts have developed a new oral history program that allows Chautauqua County residents to provide their first-hand accounts of people, places, industries and events from our region’s rich past.

The project is funded through a Community Action Grant from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation and funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

The band’s global success arrived with their first major- label record deal in 1984, but the story begins with the local scene that built their creative voice 6 years prior.

In part two, 10,000 Maniacs: Can’t Ignore the Train brings listeners a new sound. As the once heavily populated Jamestown music scene began to thin out, a new group with little to no musical training but a fervor for expression and an undeniable chemistry emerges with a hybrid of different styles.
