the hook was written to show how it would feel to be God looking at the world and how we would immediately become broken and our heart would turn cold, whereas in reality Gods love for us stays burning forever. 

the verse is to describe my personal experience with God and it shows how he prevails through the constant pain that we would easily break under. He sits and waits for every single one of his children, even the ones who hate him which baffles me and i wanted to express it in this song. 

the title is fire, talking about the endless fire of Gods love and how we cant begin to imagine caring for a world as much as he cares for us.
