This tape was made out of respect and admiration for Ahmad Jamal's 1970 release "The Awakening". The sequence (with the exception of the two bonus joints)is in line with the original. We had an idea to do this project and followed through. More than anything, this tape is about setting goals and seeing them through to completion. Young Jazzie on the cover. We had fun making this.
