David sets scenes up very elegantly! Just enough descriptive prose and before you know it, you are immersed in the scene.

Echo has won dozens of awards for illustration. And since 2019 has been the coordinating judge for Illustrators of the Future, a prestigious global competition for illustrators early in their career. The contest is a platform for established artists to support new professionals in an effort to pay it forward to the next generation. Other judges – past and present – include Frank Frazetta, Wil Eisner, Larry Elmore, Bob Eggleton, and Frank Kelly Freas. She art directs the annual best seller Writers of the Future and, with her husband Lazarus, instructs contest winners in a weekly seminar in Hollywood, CA every year.

He has since gone on to create a series based on his short story. The first was appropriately titled “Death and the Taxman,” and the second, now releasing, “Death and the Dragon.” 

He was a guest earlier as a winner and you can hear him in episodes 238 and 239 with fellow winners following the awards gala.
