Monochrome presents, Hiver II : Verveine & Toé(Dj Set), EWO Collectif.

This winter, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on Ambient, IDM and Deep Techno.

“In the middle of the night, in the depths of the nocturnal jungle, you wake up. The leaves whisper, creatures of the forest are awake and wander around, you can feel the spirits around you. They are watching you. And the further you go, the more you can hear the sound of the drums made by our tribe. We are calling you to join the ritual.”

Verveine & Toé are part of Eyes Wide Open. A collective born form a deep desire to bring back rituals and sacredness. We create music and immersive visuals experiences, that allows us to connect to our inner and outer landscapes.

This is an exclusive session of Vand as part of Mostra Barcelona Festival (@mostrabcn) for HOC. 
"I am on top of the castle; strategic position, checkpoint and contemplative space. The pink light comes out from behind Tibidabo and tells me that the night is approaching from the Mediterranean. Breeze with the scent of spring. The city at my feet is like a game of Micro Machines. And I, as if I were a giant, dance hypnotized the deep and essential beats of a soundscape that I never want to end."

Vand’s (@vandmusic) sets are explorations into story-telling hypnotica with a crossover from ambient to dancefloor material. With releases on Nyame Records (@nyamerecords), a double EP collaboration with Bas Dobbelaer on Something Happening Somewhere (@sohaso) and his solo appearance on Madrid based F-on’s Alpenglühen (@f-ondj), he is now mostly affiliated to the ISOTOOP collective (@isotoop), helping with the organisation of events and transmitting their unique global sonic identity.

Pillen is a Spanish DJ based in Madrid, an enthusiastic vinyl collector, mixing since 2012.
He enjoys playing vinyl records for extended sets and his sonic range is wide; he can move effortlessly between techno, breakbeat, acid house, electronica, and d&b. 
He also has a strong affinity for hypnotic sounds while maintaining the energy on the dance floor. 
He is one of the co-founders of two establishments: 
Sables Mouvants, which opened in 2021 in response to the desire of its patrons to enjoy long sets in Madrid; 
Espacio Perpendicular starting in 2023 as the ultimate haven for underground music and its community.
