Recording of my Live Act at Jardim Sonoro, in Lisbon. I used two controllers to control Ableton (108 knobs & 12 buttons) and an Erica Synths Perkons (also processed in Ableton in real time). 95‰ of the synth ideas you hear were created in the moment. No scene launch in ableton whatsoever. Let me know if you find the 5% pre recorded beats :D

It’s a completely raw recording, no level adjustment, no mastering and no editing (yes you can hear a little crash on my computer near the end).

Deano and Faretrade join forces to launch the DFT sublabel on Knowledge Imprint. The inaugural release is a five track EP recorded between Berlin and Cape Town over the course of a year, representing a creative, exploratory dialogue between friends. 

Most of the tracks were originally recorded as one-take jams with the Elektron Machine Drum, Novation Peak, SH-101, and Lyra-8 prior to heavy editing and processing. The synth work is loose, with strong ostinato and staccato elements against stripped back, raw percussion. 

No fuss, no frills.

Somne returns to AURA DINAMICA.

The label head follows up his 2020 LP Ostinati Ritmici with a new EP of floor-focused material that combines lush synth work with breaks and razor sharp sound design in the artist’s characteristic style.

Where Ostinati Ritmici drew on hypnotic techno and more abstract compositional techniques for inspiration, New Energy sees a shift in the artist’s approach, marrying careful songwriting with effective production to build tracks that exist as both DJ set highlights and standalone recordings. Uplifting title track New Energy builds neatly over its run-time, a well-defined break underpinning bass and pad components that shift and bend in tandem with a stylish, gated vocal. Blue Spirit takes its lead from classic UKG, updating familiar components for modern sound systems and adding unique layers of grit and noise. Skipping drums flex alongside stylish bass motifs to drive the composition forward with euphoric breakdowns charging the mood before the drops. Emotive roller Midnight City closes out the EP, the only 4x4 recording on the record, delivered in classic Somne style with dense, percussive drums working alongside a pitch-bent bassline and neat harmonic components – as musical as it is effective as a DJ tool.

As a music producer and DJ, Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno.
