We are delighted to introduce Fidel Saitz, a 25-year-old artist from the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, known by the alias Shft.rar, deeply immersed in the pulsating heartbeat of the nightlife scene. Venturing into the realm of music production in 2020, Fidel's journey is a reflection of his eclectic taste and diverse influences.

In his DJ sets, Fidel crafts a multi-dimensional experience, weaving together intricate layers of sound that transport listeners to ethereal realms. With a keen intention of serenity, his music delves into the depths of the earth, embracing earthy rhythms and synthesizing them into a dreamlike soundscape.

At the core of Fidel's sound is a groove that pulses with life, intertwining continuous and rhythmic percussion with a stormy and atmospheric bassline. Drawing inspiration from the dream system of Dub, his sets carry the essence of Dub-core, inviting listeners on a sonic journey that transcends boundaries and defies convention.

Liminal Drift thrives on unpredictability, channeling the raw, unfiltered energy that defines our community while embracing a fearless approach to sound design and emotional storytelling. The compilation itself is a liminal space, constructing a world where tension and release are in constant flux. It does not settle - it shifts, mutates, and unravels, keeping the listener locked in a state of suspenseful immersion. Something more visceral, more unpredictable - more alive.

Those who have kept their ears tuned to the innovative underground have no doubt stumbled upon the tribalistic, psychedelic, and focused sounds emanating from the mind of Auckland-based producer Eli Høff. With a string of releases on Berlin-based PHTM, Tāmaki Makaurau(Auckland)-based Gypnotica, and an impressive catalog of self-releases, he consistently showcases his singular and original interpretation of dance music.

Melding together traditional psychedelic sounds with the deep, introspective sonic palette of the contemporary mental tekno movement, Melekan is no exception. The chattering of synthesized insects, the wailing of creatures, and the echoing clatter of natural percussion, layered upon the locked low-end grooves we’ve come to expect from Eli, create an immersive, hypnotic, and psychedelic journey of dancefloor-ready sounds.

The synthesisers could be interpreted as conversation from woodland insects, chirps of birds, large bass hits emanating from some larger entities. 
I like to envision these as painting a world. It’s inspired largely by the outdoor bush / doof scene of Australia and New Zealand.

This release presents a collection of seven distinct projects, accompanied by two alternative versions. As the boundaries between genres and sound concepts continue to dissolve, this release delves deep into those undefined blind spots. Each track offers its own perspective, embracing abstraction and nuance. What was rhythm becomes texture.
