Having received support from Ø [Phase], Developer, Border One, and other mainstay techno names, Berlin-based DJ Sanna Mun debuts on her imprint Katabasis with three techno cuts that explore the planetary frequencies. The EP was inspired by her work as an archaeologist who specializes in esotericism. 

As for the label, Katabasis started as an experimental techno event at Sameheads in Neukölln, Berlin in collaboration with local musicians and visual artists. The vision behind the project is to springboard underrepresented artists while also reinventing minimal, hypnotic, and early techno. The label’s name and imagery are derived from Western esotericism.

VOLTAGE Imprint closes of its single digit releases with a fine taste, club-focused EP by Altinbas & Cirkle: Cynical Moves.

The duo tears open the EP with a clean-cut & high momentum mind-twister, ‘Cynical Moves’, setting the tone for what’s to come. While the pace and energy pick in the 2nd track, the signature tunneling thrive these 2 artists inarguable master, is ever-present. Like a cat carrying her kitten by the neck, it lifts you up, controls you and drops you off elsewhere.

The B side starts off with the track named ‘Divergence’. A rambling pulsation, rhythmically building up towards another hypnotic wobbler. Like a bandit who acts during the night, the EP’s closing track ‘Nightwalker’ entails a certain nervous- & obscureness. Though the sharp drum patterns and hints of acid make this piece a great fit for refined dance floors as well.

Diorama makes its debut release with Seal the Schism, a three-way collaborative VA featuring ASTWØ, CTSD, and Jack's Trip. The release purposefully coincides with the label's Tresor New Faces event on November 27, 2024, bridging the gap between each artist's style and flavour, fusing them into a cohesive, forward-thinking, and bold representation of each artist and what Diorama is all about: creating a scene with music from an altered reality.

Deep below coiled Jörmugandr, shaking the axis mundi with every breath. Above, crows and ravens circled as omens, while The Black Shaman chanted in shadows.

When the serpent stirred, the pit became a mouth of darkness, swallowing the lured.
