The Viper - Hey! (WRU Remix)

The release of my first original song - yet another very difficult thing I've had to overcome.

Words can't describe how much this song means to me on a personal level, as it's not only the first original I've completed, it's also the first collaboration I've ever done with vocals, the first time I've ever wrote lyrics, & most of all - my girlfriend Amy Schuster wrote it with me.

This song was built from a time in my life where I felt very lost. I knew and still know how much I want to be an artist, but I felt so lost in the mix of it all. I doubted myself every day, and never took the time to actually be proud of how far I've come since the first time I started making music.

This song means everything to me, & I physically could not have done this without Amy Schuster. She pushed me so much to keep going when I wanted to give up, & I can't thank her enough for that. She is the embodiment of a human who is loyal, courageous, & compassionate.

I actually completed this song a year ago, & I've been sitting on this for that long because of fear. I don't even know what the fear is, but I just felt paralyzed anytime I thought I was going to release this. I have succumbed to the fear too much as an artist, & this year is all about showing what I've been working on for the past few years.

I spent way too much time trying to perfect this song, & still there's endless things I could do to this - but with art, there must be a finish time. Today is that day!

Thank to everyone who takes the time to listen, as I really did pour my heart and soul into this track.

I want everyone in my life to be a part of this journey with me, & hopefully inspire someone to do the same in their own field.

Take risks, be daring, follow your gut.

The future holds a lot for me, & I can't wait to continue sharing it with you all.

ara is a new record label curated by David Letellier, a.k.a Kangding Ray.
ara is a platform for recording artists with unique sonic identities that seeks to induce deep emotion
through sound ; focusing on singular artistic endeavours, created with patience and dedication.
While rooted in electronic club music, ara will not follow any prescribed sonic path :
it will explore a palette of diverse sound worlds who evolve through parallel series of curated
releases. Each series will represent either a concept or a particular musical direction, which will be
mirrored by its own design approach.
Since releasing physical records is increasingly becoming an irrational choice, each record will be
irrationally produced as an hand-made work of art, involving procedures and techniques such as
manually-applied ink, brushed acrylic paint or tape. Each edition will be individually numbered,
recognisable as a part of a whole, while being slightly different by nature.
The first release, by label curator Kangding Ray, will be the first step of this journey : organic,
emotional club music, for the body and mind.
The following releases for 2019 will come from Adiel, Refracted, Hydrangea and Voiski
