Sullivan Award as the most outstanding U.S. amateur athlete who also demonstrates premier leadership, character and sportsmanship at a reception Tuesday night at the New York Athletic Club.. Carlini is the only four-time All-American in Wisconsin volleyball history and the first volleyball athlete to win the award.

WNBA legend and pioneer Sheryl Swoopes received her Hall of Fame jacket at the Basketball Hall of Fame press conference. Swoopes was one of four basketball players, and the only woman being enshrined in the Hall of Fame Class of 2016. Swoopes, along with Shaquille O’Neal, Allen Iverson and Yao Ming walked the red carpet on Thursday and will be enshrined on Friday.
