The artists on this album are contributors to the first LandEscapes Mixtape. All of the tracks were created, produced, and put together by the respective artist(s). Some of the tracks have samples and influences from mainstream artists, all of the tracks are inspired by the daily lives of students, poets, and creators. This Mixtape is a testimony to their hard work and dedication to music, love, and enlightenment.

In his track "Running" he hits a more serious note as he talks about the troubles that first generation scholars of color experience as the take their first steps on a college campus. Combating the dual and sometimes paradoxical identity of being both a student and a person of color.

MC EnoKa - Runnin [Pharacyde Cover]

In the final track "Break of Dawn", MC EnoKa performs a piece that he wrote for a talent show when he was a senior in high school. It showcases the beginnings of his amateur rapper status with his connection of concepts, wordplay, delivery, and tone reminiscent of the golden era of Hip Hop.

Quote from Robel: "My inspiration for this song came from some obstacles I was facing in life at the time. A creative block frustrated me as I was unable to satisfyingly express myself. I took a week long break from all things music and then decided to come back to this expression. The first thing I put on was the beat, I just starting writing, and this is what came out."

From the artist: "Most of my songs are inspired by people. I remember one of the first songs I wrote was about a classmate who passed away in a car accident with his father. To this day, when I think of that song, I can remember what it felt like writing it in my Dad's music room in the basement of our house. Most of my songs are attached to some kind of emotional experience that I was trying to process at the time; the lyrics aren't usually an exact retelling of what happened, but they always capture the feeling."
