Mark Du Mosch is a master of electronics. Gracing a glut of labels in a career spanning more than a decade, he arrives at Schrödinger’s Box with a very special release. Presence is a fiver tracker of enviable quality. Set in the canon of warm techno, Du Mosch focuses on melody and texture. “Studio M Uno” is bright and unassuming, “Koriander” both assured and fragile. The tracks on offer feel like the musical accompaniment to a Summer’s day, a time where cares are in the present and future worries do not exist. The unseen complexities of the everyday are an audio focus, the intertwined interplay of drum patterns in “Mrk I Utilities” and the mechanical dawn of the title piece throb with a human pulse. Always present, but never imposed, is the techno composition that brought this dutchman to the attention of so many. This is plain to hear in the diverse threads that are collected to produce the rich and varied closer, “Too Much.”

The confirmed artist - who has previously appeared on labels such as Byrd Out, Invisble Inc., Won Ton, Optimo Music or Into The Light, under differents projects : Felizol, Steamcut, Sportex or his own name, and composed for movies OST - started to integrate Macadam Mambo on the latest compilation Danzas Electricas vol. 3, and very naturaly proposed his new album. It needs to be said what an honnor to receive such quality music. In term of composition, production and universe it’s a land of influences and uniqueness, in which you will recognise a bit of Yello, Coil, Nick Cave or Igor Wakhevitch vibes embrassing folkloric greek melodies or cosmic pop ballads. It’s brillantly dark, obscure and lightful. A tempest of sensuality and roughness. New York-based DJ, producer and WT Records label head William Burnett, AKA DJ Speculator, has started a new video talk show.

Originally premiering on the Lot Radio, the first season of Talk Video was just posted to YouTube. The eleven episodes feature interviews with industry members like Veronica Vasicka, Legowelt, Beautiful Swimmers' Ari Goldman, The Lot founder Francois Vaxelaire, Sybil Jason, Bossa Nova Civic Club owner John Barclay and RA staff writer Matt McDermott. The talks premiered on The Lot between September 17th and September 27th, and are described as "open freeform" discussions of how the subjects "got where they are, where they are going and whatever else pops up in conversation."

DJ Speculator is known for his weekly sets on The Lot, his work at Greenpoint's The Thing, as well as his SPECS repair shop. In recent years he has released records on L.I.E.S., Rush Hour, The Trilogy Tapes and Crème Organization.
