Ghosts

What's The Point turns its unerring gaze north as we head out in search of the Loch Ness Monster. What really does lurk beneath the icy waves of the Great Glen Fault? A wayward seal? A prehistoric marine reptile that somehow avoided the fate that befell the dinosaurs and its kin 65 millions years ago to forge a lonely existence in a lake in Scotland? Or just a big bit of wood?

We also watch the 1996 classic Ted Danson film 'Loch Ness'.

After that it's a quick 15 month boat ride across to New England where we look at Robert Eggers' unsettling New England folk tale. Oh, and Bewitched as well.

Frank Capra's festive Magnum Opus It's A Wonderful Life is 70 years old this December (21st to be specific). The film sees George Bailey, played by an absolutely on top of his game fresh face Jimmy Stewart, descend to the brink of suicide before being rescued by a bumbling, naive, and fairly consistently infuriating angel named Clarence. In honour of this, as well as discussing the legendary film itself, we will be addressing our winged pals the angels. Where are they from? What exactly are they... and what are they supposed to do?

What's The Point Paranormal sails into the open waters of mythical gigantic whales. Discussing the destruction of the Whaleship Essex, the basis for the novel Moby Dick, we attempt (unsuccessfully) to chart the recent history of man's relationship with the largest mammals that have ever lived.

Oh and also try and convince ourselves that big whales ARE paranormal, by involving Pinocchio for some reason.

Here Be Dragons... or not really dragons but definitely scaly reptile-y things, as we found out when we went to see The Great Wall. Un deterred, we still dedicate a bumper edition of the WTP Paranormal Podcast to everyone's favourite fire breathers, taking saints, snakes, and sheep along for the ride.

Turning our blurred gaze onto the highly controversial subject of hypnotism, we combine this with reviewing Jordan Peele's critically acclaimed 'Get Out'. Will we use this deep, metaphor strewn film as a springboard to a conversation about racial politics in Trump's America? Or will Naylor just tell a load of weird anecdotes about Wales and end up talking about prison again?

In space, no one can hear you lazily rip off the most iconic tagline of all time.. Nevertheless, we're still not going to. We look to the skies to tackle the huge subject of aliens, via Ridley Scott's Alien Covenant. Ridiculously, we attempt to talk about interstellar travel, astrobiology, and the occurrence of earth like planets in the universe. What's even more amazing is that Naylor does not once bring up Space Jam.
