‘Snowdrop’ is somewhat of a gentle song that flows its way through various harmonic changes until arriving back where it started. The title is referring to the flower commonly known as a ‘Snowdrop’, which in Floriography (the language of flowers), is often synonymous with the word ‘hope’, as it blooms in early springtime, and is seen as heralding both the new spring and the new year.

‘Breath of Wind’ tells a story of one of the most versatile forces of nature that we have on this planet, Wind. The idea of Wind makes for interesting subject matter, as it in itself can conjure such power and destruction, while at the same time can be so soft and delicate, like walking through the countryside on a hot day, feeling comfort in a small breath of wind on your face. Whilst the song itself leans on the more soft and delicate side, the listener is urged to give appreciation to a force of nature that is so powerful, it has shaped the course of history on our planet, for better and for worse.

On Monday's Morning Focus, Alan was joined by music group 'Merfolk' to discuss their upcoming gig, which is set to take place in Glór this Friday at 8pm. The group consists of Aisling Lyons, Seán Lyons and Dermot Sheedy. The trio, who came together last year and play music that is based primarily on the traditions of music and song in Clare.

"Truth" is a deeply personal song that explores themes of self-discovery, self-acceptance, resilience and embracing one's truth as a path to freedom. Baba shares, "I wrote Truth after a particularly tumultuous time in my life, when both my physical and mental health was suffering. 

The song is supposed to take you on a journey, introspective and sometimes dark lyrics are set against a pop music bed with driving drums and upbeat brass, accumulating in an anthemic outro which expresses a sense of survival, resilience, and a feeling of hope for the future.
