Issued from a number of productions, this riddim, amongst others has been bought to you by a 10-month journey through Latin America. It is in Urubamba, in the heart of the Sacred Valley in Peru, that Melanie Jane and Magno Chalako ( @ulularoots ) were inspired by its groove.
Ulula Roots are a music duo that mixes Reggae and Hip Hop in both English and Spanish. They are earthlings with a connection to the Apus of Sacred Valley, the hearts and consciousness of us all and the galactic forces that lay above us. Ulula Roots was created by making people feel vibrations and emotions on buses throughout South America in 2014 when Melanie and Magno Chalako travelled together busking from Peru to Colombia. Currently, they are rooted in the Sacred Valley and using the vibrations of this sacred place to bring positivity and strength through music to all that feel the lift from what they have been gift with.
After playing as a musician in different bands in a variety of styles, in 2017 Wu.D started as a beatmaker. It is his purpose to share all the inspiration and vibrations music procure to him. Also known as the “Nomad for Reggae”, Wu.D’Sound’s identity has been built through his international connections and collaborations. One of his most prominent influences is Nature. Its sounds and energy are a potent part of his compositions. From the French Alps to the Caribbean and on to Latin America, his music, a mix of Reggae / Dub, comes straight from his heart and is inspired by his trips all over the world.
It is then easy to feel how fast and how naturally the human and musical connection was made between Ulula Roots and Wu.D’Sound. Just listen to this single “Jah Tribe” and it will resonate through what you hear.

Après avoir œuvré en tant que musicien dans différents groupes de tous styles, WU.D se lance en tant que beatmaker solo avec un premier EP ("DubSession#01") en juillet 2017.
Du "Dub urbain" et électronique avec plusieurs invités de marque comme les Français de SmadCrew et Khoe-Wa Dub System ou les Jamaicains Isha Bel et WildLife/Nazamba, ...

En janvier 2019, c'est la sortie du second Ep, "JungleTao", aux sonorités plus "Jungle" et aux rythmes plus soutenus, avec encore de belles collaborations : Jolly Steweart, Astymanding, McJoss, Charlie.
Cette sortie est suivie de pres par une longue liste de EP produits en 2019/2020; année durant laquelle il fera un voyage en Amerique du sud pour y faire une vingtaine de dates et enregistrer une dizaine de collaborations avec des artistes et instrumentistes locaux.

WU.D se lance parallèlement dans un projet reggae/dub en duo avec le @NAHAKADubLiveBand plus motivé que jamais !
Ils participeront rapidement à des festivals tels que LesRockailles, le Rock'n'poche ou encore le off de PaléoFestival.
En mai 2020 ils sortent leur premier EP "First Step" sur le net label @Mareebass.fr.

Ne vivant que pour sa passion de la musique, cet artiste touche à tout et multi taches n'attend qu'une seule chose : se retrouver sur scène pour vous transmettre ses good vibes!
