Based in Buenos Aires, Cimarrón is a producer and sound artist who creates hyper-contemporary, genre-fluid compositions that blur the boundaries between experimental club music and Latin rhythms. His debut EP Sin Cara, Sin Nombre [NODO label] narrated a liberating process of profound inner change through heartbreaking yet euphoric club beats.

His second project, Rubí/Zafíro, is in a sense a continuation of Sin Cara, Sin Nombre. Here, Cimarrón delves deeper into a club-focused sound, offering stomping drums over harsh euphoric synth leads, without compromising his experimental approach to sound design or his Latino influence. Yet in another sense, it is a great departure. In contrast to the at times gloomy mood of his debut, this new EP celebrates the bliss of expressing oneself, in a cheerful and exciting way.

‘Soul Cooking’ is the debut EP by Martini, moniker of American multimedia artist Marnie Pagter. Built-in parallel to their visual works, the release was inspired by a wide conglomeration of disparate sources and genres, which were channelled together as a cleansing exercise.

Their fervent production engulfs the viewer with an arcane sound palette that alludes to a story of introspection. A sense of paradoxical juxtaposition lies at the base of the EP, which guides the viewer through a tumultuous journey of beauty and discomfort. The whole release is marked by haunting vocals which are paired together with grating percussion to create a cacophonic mixture of emotions.

For our first release of 2024 we welcome @undrwght, a prolific producer from Mexico who has long been cultivating a highly individual take on Latin club music. On his 𝙔𝙜𝙜𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙡 EP, his productions burst and blossom, rooted with grimey basslines while vibrating percussion shoots all the way up to the canopies.

In Norse mythology, the Yggdrasil tree connected the many realms of the universe, linking gods, giants, and mortals. Here, Undrwght connects his many musical influences to draw in listeners whatever their natural or supernatural status.
