Blacklite Records leader, Nukleall is now an established artist and well-known as one the most skilled Label Manager in the international Psytrance scene. Recognized as master and scientist in studio for his production and mixing skill, he is the dude that gave colour to his music and founded Blacklite Records, starting to tune his Frequencies and the ones of his artists. Nukleall's music is made for the dancefloor and has been defined as morning psytrance music with a fat and groovy dancing vein, tightly balanced with a strong whirling and psychedelic atmosphere.

Here it is: the full recording of my set at this year's edition of Boom Festival!

It's the first time that my whole performance was covered and professionally edited - so this is something truly special for me!

A little background info: I felt like a little kid when I entered the Dance Temple on the final morning of the festival. I was nervous as fck, excited as hell but as well amped to the max, enthusiastic and truly positive to having the chance, the challenge and as well the privilege to play for this amazing dancefloor. 

Months before the festival, a thought crossed my mind if it wouldn't be wiser and as well safer to skip improvisation this time and to prepare a set - safety first style. But a minute later I erased this thought as I realized that by doing this, I would give away the advantage of a DJ set versus a 'live' set: the ability to get into direct communication with the dance floor and to have a dialogue with the crowd based on giving, receiving and thus mutually creating a journey rather than a pre-arranged monologue of just sending out frequencies.  

So I went ahead with my trademark Boom Shankar approach of full improvisation with all its advantages and as well disadvantages. You might be able to see this in the linked video: it took me a bit to establish this connection as the energy I received from the floor was quite intense, but in the end I felt that we fully clicked and thus created an energetic and truly beautiful connection! 

Seeing the outcome of this connection in the video makes me so happy, and it confirms that this decision and the impromptu approach were the right choices.
Being able to make people dance, to create smiles and to exchange energies and vibes with each other - to make others happy with what makes me happy - is one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, and I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to do that!

Contineum is the solo project of Matt Kyriakides and former founder of Mutagen Records.
His psychedelic journey began when he began co-organising underground psy trance events in London, which led to him forming UK based record label Mutagen Records. Soon after starting the label, and drawing influence from the music around him he started producing his own music. His first release with Sinerider was released on 24/7 Records, and soon followed releases with Catalyst Records, 24/7, Grasshopper, Catalyst, Mutagen, Maharetta, Joof, Antu, Expo, Blacklite, Aphid and many more.
Contineum’s sound is best described as deep basslines, buried beneath atmospheric and hypnotic soundscapes with a fusion of futuristic sound design and driving technical beats. His music has a powerful lucidity that resonates with hyper-charged dancefloors.
Matt's unrelenting passion and his fearsome energy have found an affinity within this new sound that is at the cutting edge of psychedelic music. Alice im Wummerland is one of the largest Indoor Psytrance Events in Germany.
The Wummerland event series features DJs, producers, and decoration-teams from all over the world, offering Psy-Trance, Forest and Progressive on several floors in the building complex of the MS Connexion club in Mannheim. The two smaller offshoots “Zurück in den Uhrwald”(Forest-oriented) and “Die Verrückte Teeparty” (Progressive-oriented) provide additional musical highlights.
A colourful variety of dancefloors, as well as a chill-out-floor, a chai-tea stand and stalls offering clothes and other products catered to the goa scene, make the Wummerland a truly magical, unique place.
