Eight months before he gave his famous "I Have A Dream" speech in Washington D.C., Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood in front of a crowd at a high school gymnasium in Rocky Mount, N.C. and spoke the iconic words. This is the first documented recording of that speech.
