Professor Oddfellow of Neons Gone Mad sent along some spoken word audio about Tibetan interpretations of dreams that involve death. So I built this track around some of those vocal chops. Arpeggio and some percussions done with a #Sequential #Prophet6; main drums from #TR8S, distorted bass from the #OP1Field and an #Arturia #Pigments patch, as well as some bells and whistles from the #modularsynth.

I'm thrilled to present a clockworked remix by Neons Gone Mad (@prof-oddfellow) of Snail and the Lost Duckling. The original track was the last track (and one of my favorites) off of my album 'Afraid of the Dark.' Neons Gone Mad darkened the mood by writing lyrics and adding their signature clockwork sound to the track. I hope you enjoy this haunting lullaby.

Finally listening to what my plants have to say. It's always unexpected and sometimes beautiful. 

Original version was made on an #OP1field during a trip to Melbourne when I was suffering from something food-borne. Came back home to find a #PlantWave, immediately hooked it up to my snake plant (see Instagram for the accompanying artist's portrait) and was able to add my plant's communication signals to this track. Quite a fun #jamuary jam.

The Things We Tell Ourselves

The Raven is a dark tale inspired by the work of Edgar Allan Poe. I recently spent time in Baltimore, MD where the initial idea was born. The prominent, distorted drum beats represent the raven, while the instrumentation and sound designed synth elements represent society. As the raven soars above "society," it observes not only death and destruction, but also calm and beauty within individual stories in our world.

I broadcasted a live ambient performance in the shadow of Diamond Head this morning during the sunrise. This is the first edition of Sunrise Sessions, a new project I'm working on where I will perform my more ambient, atmospheric, and downtempo music while the sun rises. Follow the Moon

Back in the studio and trying to kick things off again with regular melody making. Here's one where I ran some pads through an Eventide H9 (Blackhole algo) and built a song around that attempt. 303 acid and rhythms were really the only other ingredients, along with a sample found on relic radio.

On August 18, 2024, I collaborated with yoga / reiki guide Geo and harpist JP for a live performance / guided meditation at Plantoem Kaimuki in #Honolulu #Hawaii. For my part, I used plant frequencies from a succulent using‪@PlantWave‬  -- which drove the bells and bass. I manually played in some leads and pads as well as a #TD3MO #acid #synth. This performance was composed on the fly -- so if there are any harsh frequencies, I blame the plant ;)

So sit back and relax (or grab a #yoga mat!) and enjoy some #ambientmusic sounds from that magical evening.

Today's entry ended up becoming a downtempo lounge track, even though it started out quite different.

Might finish this one as it would go well with my released single "Lotophagi."

How Did You Know When You Were In Love?

The Holes We Dig is a new electronic track featuring chilling excerpts from "The Hole" from the radio show The Devil and Mr O. I combine synth sounds from analog sources like the #Dreadbox #Typhon (guitar-sounding lead) and a modified #303 (ok, it's the #TD3MO), as well as some digital drones and bells from #mutableinstruments #Plaits and #Rings. Rhythms were designed and programed on a #tr8s 

This song is part of my daily #sonicjournal, where I sketch out new music ideas every weekday morning. These sessions will soon be streamed live again, so please stay tuned to this channel if you're interested in my process.

Visuals were made using #VideoSync with clips generated through #Kaiber, and finally exported through #FCP. Still fine tuning my process though.
