Geilomeilo! Hier schmeckt man ja richtig den kommenden Frühling! Geschmeidig wie von 'nem 1000er Schmirgelpapier wird uns hier der Putz im Gehörgang hauchfein abgerieben. Somit freie Bahn für die fluffig, frischen Soundwölkchen, die Richtung Hörzentrum unterwegs sind. Dort angekommen, tanzt der auditive Cortex vor happiness Macarena. 

Bei dem Sound wird klar, was wir wollen; und zwar eindeutig wieder auf ein Festival mit ganz viel Sonne.

m ë x presents "Quietly and secretly into the late hour" Afterhour Sounds Podcast

Unsere Nummer 210 kommt von einem jungen lateinamerikanischen Künstler, den ich jetzt seit knapp zwei Jahren verfolge und mich immer wieder mit seinen abwechslungsreichen Sets beeindruckt hat: Nämlich m ë x  (https://soundcloud.com/meaex).

Als Mitglied des bekannten Wiener Projekts "Heimlich (https://soundcloud.com/heimlichaufsc)"  kümmert er sich mit Gleichgesinnten vor allem um die Förderung von Kunst, Kultur und entschleunigter, elektronischer Musik in Wien. Aber auch als DJ ist er schon reichlich herumgekommen. Neben egtl. allen Wiener Clubs, war er auch bereits in diversen Berliner Clubs und auch der Fusion zu Gast. Zudem ist er ein Teil des Produzententrios https://soundcloud.com/willezumwahnsinn.

In seinem Sound lässt er sich dabei nicht in eine Schublade packen. Nein, das will und braucht er auch gar nicht, Irgendwo zwischen Down- und MIdtempo zieht er gekonnt verschiedene, musikalische Register. Egal ob Ketapop, Deep House, Neo- und Jetlagdicco.... es kommt immer ein wunderbar harmonisches Sammelsurium heraus, das man nicht missen möchte. 
So auch bei unserem neusten Podcast mit dem Namen "Quietly and secretly into the late hour", der im Grunde alles punktgenau beschreibt. Neben einem gewohnt entspannten Beginn drückt er dezent, aber zielgerichtet immer mehr aufs Gas ohne dabei zu übertreiben. Angereichert wird alles mit einer bunten Mischung aus teils sphärischen, verspielten und melodischen Tracks. Dabei wird die Zielrichtung im weiteren Verlauf des Sets immer klarer: Nämlich die entspannte Afterhour. Und wie!

m ë x, Danke für deine Hingabe und für das Zusammenstellen und aufnehmen dieses besonderen Sets. Dich habe ich bisher noch in keinem Set so gehört. Bitter mehr davon.
Ich bin mir sicher, dass die Welt noch viel von dir hören wird.

Our number 210 comes from a young Latin artist I've been following for almost two years now, who has always impressed me with his diverse sets: Namely m ë x (https://soundcloud.com/meaex).

As a member of the well-known Viennese project "Heimlich (https://soundcloud.com/heimlichaufsc)", he and like-minded people are primarily concerned with promoting art, culture and decelerated, electronic music in Vienna. But also as a DJ he has been around a lot. In addition to egtl. all Viennese clubs, he has also been a guest in various Berlin clubs and Fusion. Besides he is a part of https://soundcloud.com/willezumwahnsinn.

In his sound he does not let himself be pigeonholed. No, he doesn't want to and he doesn't need to. Somewhere between down- and middtempo he skilfully pulls out different musical stops. No matter if Ketapop, Deep House, Neo- and Jetlagdicco.... it always comes out a wonderfully harmonious smorgasbord that you don't want to miss. 
This is also the case with our latest podcast called "Quietly and secretly into the late hour", which basically describes everything spot on. In addition to the usual relaxed beginning, he presses the gas discreetly but purposefully more and more without overdoing it. Everything is enriched with a colorful mixture of partly spherical, playful and melodic tracks. As the set progresses, the goal becomes clearer and clearer: namely, the relaxed afterhour. And how!

m ë x, thank you for your dedication and for putting together and recording this special set. I haven't heard you like this in any set before. Bitter more of the same.
I'm sure the world will be hearing a lot more from you.

Recording of my Sunday's afternoon set at Plan:et C (Gamma).

Felt surreal to arrive to this magical place after such a strange year. Big thanks goes to Kulturkosmos community for making this whole thing happen in such challenging times.

A dream come true, and I can only be thankful for all the listeners that took their time to listen and dance to this set. I am still overwhelmed, to be able to play at Fusion festival for the first time (officially). 

The whole recording is composed mostly by unreleased material of my own productions, including a few songs by my dear friend @avemsdream.

At the far corners of the Fusion Festival, just behind a little lake, lies a big paradise. There we could swim naked, ate delicious ice cream and danced to good music. Graced by the sun and so many friends around me, I played a set and recorded this ear-candy for you. 

Thank you Fusion, thank you @fernab-berlin and thank you all the dancers to dream this dream together. It's been a pleasure <3

Anyone who has met him will probably agree that this set reflects doob's personality, being the smooth and calm gem that it is. At the same time, anyone who’s danced to one of his sets will probably recognize his deep and bouncy, carefully curated grooves that have glued us to many a dance floor far longer than we intended.
Our paths have crossed many times and - you may take this as a promise - there is more to come. Keep your eyes (and ears) peeled. 

Born in a summer of blistering days and warm nights, that smell of a freedom too big to be trapped within the confines of a concrete city, this musical journey takes us around many places of our memory, cutting corners here and there, without distinguishing between the cheeky and the dark, the mundane and the sublime.
Maybe the dance floor to host that imaginary party has already been built - maybe it hasn’t.  We invite you to go on that trip here and now. Alone or with your friends. Dancing with your body or in your heart.

jane ulé Musik steht für wilde Mischungen und neue Kreationen. Eine wahre Kennerin und Gräberin auf der Suche nach besonderern Soundschätzen, die sie zu stets lässigen, trippigen und mutigen, vor allem Genregrenzen sprengenden und deshalb so spannenden Klangcocktails zusammen mischt. Hauptsache die Geschwindigkeit stimmt, Hauptsache wohl temperiert. Mit ihrem ganz besonderen Daumen verdreht sie die Knöpfe, gepaart mit einer großen Menge Spaß und nicht allzu sehr hochgehaltenen Ernsthaftigkeit bis am Ende der sogenannte Daumtempo entsteht.

Wuza Waves #038 - Doob - seagulls are still out of reach

Whoa! How did I get here?

Last thing I remember I was sitting in my room and taking a sip of tea. It tasted quite bitter though, now that I think about it. Should I have taken out the ginger earlier? 
But that doesn’t explain how I ended up in the middle of a desert. 
I can’t say that I hate it though. I wanted to take a vacation for quite a while now… 
But I didn’t pack any sunscreen. Or my phone! If I don’t take pictures, no one will believe me what happened.

As I’m walking the land, more and more plants start to occur and the desert magically changes into a steppe. But as the biodiversity grows, so does the feeling of being observed. Was this cactus just moving, or was it its weird shadow? Someone was snickering now, I’m sure of that! – Come out and show yourself! – Less hesitantly than I would have thought the shadow emerges and reveals his slender silhouette. “I am a doob” it says. “Our kind roams these parts since the dawn of time and it doesn’t happen often that we get visitors.” 

As we wander for a bit and talk, he tells me about their kind and their culture. It seems these creatures have been here longer than any other species that is known to man, living in complete symbiosis with their surroundings. They tend to the earth and the earth gives back generously, so they don’t know jealousy or greed or suffering. What a nice way to live! 

I might just stay for a little longer and listen to his tales of a palmy life.
